The Brief

What is the Project?

The Challenge
This project presented us with an interesting challenge to create a new brand identity to position The Plume as a niche, innovative, forward thinking supplier to the funeral sector.

Following an in-depth discovery session with the client, we had to make a bold statement with an identity to represent the Plume as a unique player with a very niche product.

The challenge

Our Process

Our Approach
We started this project by creating a bespoke wordmark using a modern depiction of a classic vintage serif typeface.
We chose an uppercase typeface revealing ornate structural elements; to give an official look and an air of authority.

Logo Motif elements
We researched many concepts before deciding to work with an adaptation of a fleur-de-lis emblem, chosen for its regal like qualities. A feather was used as a direct representation of The Plume’s core offering.

The Execution

Our Solution

The new design was supported by additional graphics, visuals and textures whilst infusing a bold colour palette of plum and white. Plum is often associated with nobility and white for luxury.

We completed this project by designing a full suite of business stationary to complement the new brand, which included letterheads and business cards.
